Case Studies

Selected design and product leadership, alongside founder-built systems. These examples draw on Tarra’s leadership roles and Jeroen’s previous roles and own ventures, rather than commissioned Stravus client engagements. Tarra’s experience previews outline leadership scope and selected initiatives; fuller project details will follow.

01 / Stake

A new asset class. A connected customer experience.

Prior role · Principal Product Manager, Crypto · 2021–2022

Conceptual illustration · shared versus specific
Australian equitiesUS equitiesProposed crypto
Asset-specific characteristics ↕ Shared customer experience and capabilities

The challenge

Adding crypto to an established equities proposition raises questions beyond the new asset itself. Customers need a recognisable experience across products, while different asset classes bring different characteristics.

Role and work

As Principal Product Manager for Crypto, Jeroen led strategy for adding cryptocurrency alongside Stake’s Australian and US equities offerings. His remit connected the proposed product with the wider customer experience and platform.

A central part of that strategy was defining what should be shared and what should remain asset-specific, including customer experience, platform capabilities and terminology: preserving a consistent brand while making room for the differences that mattered.

Why it matters

Product strategy needs to address the whole experience: where to reuse, where to differentiate and how the parts fit together. This case illustrates that work through strategy and capability definition.

02 / Capital Wallet

Connecting product direction with business operations.

Prior role · Product Owner / Interim CEO · 2024

Conceptual illustration · connected functions
PaymentsSettlementTreasuryReporting
Commercial · Engineering · Compliance · Operations

The challenge

A payments business depends on more than the transaction customers see. Settlement, treasury and reporting sit behind that experience, alongside the commercial, technical and compliance work required to operate it.

Role and work

At Capital Wallet, Jeroen combined product ownership with interim CEO responsibilities across APAC and Europe. The roadmap spanned payments, settlement, treasury and reporting.

He coordinated across commercial, engineering, compliance and operations, connecting product direction with the business that had to deliver and support it.

Why it matters

This experience brings product and executive perspectives to the dependencies that growth creates across teams, systems and markets.

03 / Alpha-1

Building an AI-led system, beyond a single assistant.

Own venture · AI-agent system design and development

Conceptual illustration · coordinated responsibilities
Specialist agentsShared purpose
Coordination ↔ Human oversight and judgement

The challenge

Using AI for an individual answer is different from building a system around it. An AI-led workflow needs distinct responsibilities, coordination between specialists and clear boundaries for human judgment.

Role and work

Jeroen founded Alpha-1 to apply AI agents to options research and trading workflows. The project provides hands-on experience of building and working with specialist agents in a real decision-making context.

It explores how autonomous AI-led systems can be organised around a purpose, rather than relying on one general-purpose assistant. Agent coordination, oversight and the division of responsibility between people and software are central to the work.

Why it matters

Alpha-1 grounds Jeroen’s AI experience in practical system building and operational learning. Its relevance here is the design of coordinated, AI-led ways of working, not investment results.

An own-venture example of system design and research support, not a client engagement or investment advice.
